New Chapters from "The Immortals..." in Big Bridge
The new Big Bridge is up, and it includes five chapters from my novel of stories, The Immortals Act Their Age. These were accepted some time ago, and I've since revised them, so these are older drafts, though they're not all that different.
They're broken up into two sections, one with one story and another with four stories. For some reason a typo in the headline of the section containing four stories reads "For..." instead of "Four Very Short Stories." I'm not sure what happened. Oh well.
"A Field of Colors" by Charles Lennox
I just got my copy of "A Field of Colors" by Charles Lennox, and it's one of the best things I've read in a long time. J.A. Tyler was right about how "fantastically explosive" it was. It's surrealism at its best, or should I say magical realism? The images are crisp and clear (dare I say it: imaginative), delicately developed and precisely executed, to use formal jargon.
This piece is short and strange, and the segments which break it up are more like chapters of a poetic novel, a flash-novel, if the term flash fiction can here be appropriated. This is how the American novel should be written -- at least, the kind I want to read.
New Poultry @ Thieves Jargon
I have a new piece of poultry (chicken-shit scribblings) up in Thieves Jargon called "Ratifying Anarchy." For more pieces of poultry, all socio-political in nature, check the sidebar over there. I've also posted, albiet briefly, on the subject/term here. Meh.
